One of NYC’s last summer shows turned out to be one of its funnest when FERRIS PLOCK & KELLY TUNSTALL‘s joint “Subterranea” opened last week at FUSE GALLERY in the East Village. Imagining a fictional underworld populated by characters inhabiting Manhattan’s subways, sewers and underground tunnels, the San Francisco-based artists worked collaboratively and independently to create their fantastical visions of creatures far more appealing than the city’s actual CHUD population. If ever an art show deserved to be turned into a children’s book…
