London's A-list WHITE CUBE GALLERY may have a daunting task in following up Damien Hirst's now-legendary $100 million Diamond Skull exhibit "Beyond Belief" last month (which failed to sell, we might add), but their recent exhibition by South African artist CANDICE BREITZ is attracting loads of attention on its own. Her 25 channel video portrait of JOHN LENNON's epic "Plastic Ono Band" LP from 1970, features ordinary Lennon fans from all walks of life simultaneously singing along, a capella, to all 11 tracks of the album which includes the songs "Working Class Hero," "God," "Well Well Well," and "I Found Out." The sound may be cacophonous at times but the effect is intriguing and oddly fascinating, kinda like a car crash in an art gallery you can’t help but stare at...
