Lebowski's got nothing on Duane Hanson's "Dude"...

We gotta hand it to Ft. Lauderdale, after a week of blowing our retinas out at the 20+ fairs that now make up ART BASEL, one of the coolest art installations we saw was at the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International airport on our way outta Dodge (Basel vets know better than to fly in and out of Miami airport). "Vendor with Walkman," an incredibly life-like sculpture of a homeless-looking man and his miscellaneous belongings by local artist DUANE HANSON pretty much sums up the weirdness that is Florida in general. Throw in the fact that this piece was enclosed in its own seemingly hermetically-sealed "glass walled "waiting room" next to the airport security line and the strangeness level just skyrockets. HAVE A LOOK:
