The fabled EAMES PLYWOOD ELEPHANT was a children's toy conceived in 1945 by the iconic modernist design duo of CHARLES & RAY EAMES but never put into formal production. Now, in the centennial anniversary year of Charles' birth the family, in conjunction with VITRA, has finally put the holy grail toy into production in an extremely limited edition. To further commemorate the centennial anniversary and the elephant's release, the designers' grandson EAMES DEMETRIOS created "A Gathering of Elephants," a stop-motion animated film starring, you guessed it, the mini plywood titans...
