KEIICHI TANAAMI’S “BURLESQUE” ART EXHIBITION OPENS AT STUSSY JAPAN
Legendary Japanese psychedelic artist Keiichi Tanaami’s current fashion collaboration with iconic streetwear label Stüssy was celebrated Thursday night with the opening of his art show, “Burlesque,” at the brand’s pop-up gallery in Harajuku, Tokyo. Featuring original paintings and sculptures, the exhibition and collaboration exposed the wildly influential pop visionary to a new generation of fans whose only previous contact with the artist’s vision might have been through the legion of modern artists he’s influenced like KAWS and Takashi Murakami.
