STREET LIFE: NEW POLITICAL GRAFFITI BY OS GEMEOS IN SAO PAULO, BRASIL

Twin artist brothers Os Gemeos took a break from their globetrotting fine art career to hit up the walls of their hometown of Sao Paulo, Brasil recently with some politically charged graffiti in protest of the city's crackdown on graffiti. Have a look:

"Mr. Mayor: There are a lot of serious problems in our city that need to be resolved. Don't spend time and money erasing graffiti from the streets!"

"Mr Mayor: To erase art is to erase culture. If you erase culture, you disrespect the people."

Unfortunately, "Mr. Mayor" was not impressed and the pieces were buffed within 24 hours:
