The overwhelming majority of all street art is just god-awful derivative crap, so it's incredibly refreshing to see work as striking and modern as the paintings of BLAQK for a change. Funny 90s hip-hop group spelling aside, BLAQK is a partnership between two Greek designers from Athens, Greg Papagrigoriou and Simek. Working in a mix of Bauhaus-ian geometric forms and flowing calligraphy, the duo have forged a beautiful and distinct style that is a welcome addition to the humorless wannabe-Banksy junk, Mr Brainwash hellscapes, and cartoony crap currently jamming our optic nerves more often that not. Keep up the good work, boys...
