In one of the most dramatic executions of street-level public art in recent memory, artists Walter Hugo & Zoniel have transformed an abandoned building in Liverpool into a giant jellyfish tank. Titled The Physical Possibility of Inspiring Imagination in the Mind of Somebody Living, the piece plays off the title of the seminal 1991 shark tank artwork The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living by fellow British artist Damien Hirst. Presented to coincide with the Liverpool Biennal, the installation's illuminated tank is revealed to the public nightly at 10PM via an automatically opening rollup gate that turns an otherwise bleak view into a glowing vision of hypnotizing motion.
